Dr. Yupei Zhang is an assistant porfessor in School of Computer Science at Northwestern Polytechnical University. He received the doctor degree in Computer Science and technology from Xi'an Jiaotong University, in 12/2017. His principal research insterests lie in the development of machine learning and statistical learning. And his invovled work includes (1) sparse and low-rank representation learning, (2) lassso and its generalizations, (3) dimensionality reduction/feature extraction, and (4) the universal model of clustering and classification. In addition, he currently devotes to applying and developing novel machine learning methods for personalized teaching and learning, such as cognitive diagnose, grade prediction, academic early warning and student classification.
